The ambition of JetCamp is to become the market leader in a growing market by 2023. To clarify, in the market which accumulates up to half-a-billion bookings per year! So, Present Connection formed a team of developers and designers to create the leading platform for campsite holidays. All in co-creation with the in-depth market knowledge and online marketing skills of the people of Jetcamp.
In the first stage, Jetcamp and Present Connection defined the structures for collaboration and communication. Further, architecture, technologies, functionality, and roadmap were discussed. The idea of the platform is to allow the active traveler to search for campsites in one place. Also, to discover their facilities, look at photos, and visit camping websites.
The project is interesting from a software development perspective. The team integrated new technologies like Elasticsearch and complex SEO algorithms that help to search faster in big data sets. There are plans to improve the search engine and website design and offer more functionality in the future. For example, the opportunity to make a booking to users on the JetCamp platform.
So far, in building this search engine, we have used tools like Jira, PhpStorm, Slack, Bugsnag, and Swagger.
Also, for a technology part – Laravel, Vue.js, Redis, ElasticSearch, Ansible, Docker, AWS.
